Be ready to relay the following information:
Saddle info.
what company, make, model?
new or gently used?
what color is your saddle?
any texture or finishes?
(remember, i avoid textured leather.)
Be prepared to send photos of your saddle, especially if it is gently used. if i need to look at the saddle in person, you will be responsible for any shipping costs, regardless of whether i approve the saddle for commission or not.
Design info.
give me as many details as possible about the design you want. feel free to send photos of anything you feel illustrates the look you desire. i will gladly work alongside you to create a design that is uniquely yours.
Your price
before i start your design, it is essential that you answer one of the two following questions:
1) how much surface area would you liked carved?
OR
2) how much are you willing to pay?
this information is the foundation for starting your design. if you are sending me a logo or design, let me know the desired scale and where you would like it on the saddle.
Time frame
my time frame for designing and carving your saddle generally should take 2-4 weeks. i will alert you to any changes in this estimate upon initial contact.
Payment
i accept payment in form of personal checks or via paypal. since you will be sending me your saddle, i will not require payment up front. i do, however, require full payment before i ship your finished product. of course, i will send digital images of your completed saddle so you can see what you are paying for!
Return policy
under no circumstances will i accept returned items.
