The Mobile Museum of Material Culture was a collaborative project that took place in the fall of 2009. Together, Maggie Sasso and I obtained a BLINK! grant from the Madison Arts Commission in order to build a mobile museum that could be pulled behind a tandem bicycle. In the spirit of the medicine men, street performers and traveling peddlers of yesteryear, we took to the streets of Madison, Wisconsin, offering passersby the chance to experience objects rich in history and rife with mystery. Incidentally, this project would inspire the first-ever carved Brooks saddle.
